Allow me to introduce you to Jane Lappage, the proud owner of Calligraphy Arts, a well-established husband and wife enterprise. Jane is dedicated to the art of calligraphy and all its facets, including the intricate world of ‘Gold Leaf’ and the graceful art of flourishing strokes.

Modern calligraphy, known for its approachable style, has become incredibly popular. Jane specialises in teaching this contemporary form, utilising versatile fine point nibs that caters to both left and right-handed students.

What sets Jane apart is her commitment to quality. She exclusively offers products that she knows are effective for learning calligraphy, making them readily available in her classes and on her website.

Jane is an active member of various Calligraphy groups and is always eager to share her knowledge and provide valuable tips to support you on your calligraphy journey. We invite you to join her and embark on a beautiful path of creativity

Modern calligraphy is a new way of leaning calligraphy, also perfect for lefties -so no excuses!
Jane will teach you everything from the basics right though to design and layout, but the day is taken at your own pace.
All equipment will be provided, and Jane will explain and show you how and why she teaches with inks and super shiny metallic paints and different nibs.

You will go home with all handouts, practice sheets and your own designed card if you feel adventurous.
Jane will bring a selection of all the products you have been using for you to purchase at the end of the class for you to continue your calligraphy journey at home.

If you already have equipment, please bring it along and Jane can advise if it’s right for your Modern calligraphy journey.
