How I started…
During the festive season, there’s nothing quite like finding those perfect little surprises to fill up Christmas stockings. Back in 2010, our class embarked on a special project, and I needed to come up with another handmade gift that would bring as much joy as the beloved calendar. That’s when inspiration struck – I already had a cat design made up of words and phrases – why not use it for packs of notelets?

After creating countless cards, envelopes, and notelets, I found myself inspired to explore new designs that would bring joy to others as much as they did to me. Together with my husband Nick, we founded Calligraphy Arts — a creative venture dedicated to beautiful writing, handcrafted dip pens, and bespoke calligraphy artwork.

Our unique collection of greeting cards celebrates a wide range of themes — from Cats, Dogs, Doves, Paws, and Hearts to Eternal and Celtic Love Knots. For the rock enthusiasts, we feature designs with Guitars, Choppers, Motorcycles, Ace of Spades, and Skull & Crossbones. Adventurers will also find campervans, cars, and steam engines among our creations — and there are always more exciting designs on the way!

How it all began…
It started one festive season back in 2010 when I was searching for the perfect handmade gift for our class Christmas project. After the success of a previous calendar design, I wanted something just as special. Inspiration struck when I rediscovered a cat illustration made entirely of words and phrases — it became the basis for packs of notelets that delighted everyone who received them.

From that small idea, Calligraphy Arts was born — a blend of creativity, craftsmanship, and a love for timeless artistry.

Today, based in the idyllic heart of rural England, I am proud to share my calligraphy and design work with individuals and companies across the UK. From Leicester and Loughborough to Nottingham, Northampton, and beyond, I’ve had the privilege of creating bespoke calligraphic pieces that add a personal touch to every occasion.
