Day Class – Modern Calligraphy – Strelley Hall

23rd September 2017 – Day Class – Modern Calligraphy Course
10:00pm to 4:00pm

Modern calligraphy is a fresh, new style that brings a flexibility and uniqueness that is both appealing and accessible. You will have seen this on trend script everywhere and the beauty of learning this style is that it is easy to master and personalise, making it unique to you. Where the more traditional ‘Round Hand’ style dictates form and function, Modern Calligraphy lends itself to a more fluid, closer-to-your-handwriting approach.

Our workshops are light hearted, fun and aimed to give a taster of the basic skills needed to produce this very popular beautiful script. Ideal for all those personal touches to your crafted cards or for generating your own unique designs.

Everything is provided for the class including a basic pen nib holder and nib, practice lines, letters and paper (all yours to keep) along with Jane’s years of knowledge and information on this historic skill. Many other products for excelling at this art will be available to buy on the day.

FOOD: Hot and cold refreshments will be provided throughout the workshop. Alternatively, the shop is situated next to the wonderful Mulberry Tree Cafe where you can purchase delicious food and refreshments at reasonable prices.

The course will cost £50.00 to include all materials, use of tools and teas / coffees throughout the day.

If you have attended one of these workshops previously then you will be eligible for a 10% discount on this course

A £10.00 deposit will secure your place and class sizes will be limited to 8 people so get in touch soon to book your place.

Had a super day – and I have learnt a lot even though I have not yet written my masterpiece! Lots of ideas to take home and improve upon.
