10-week Beginner’s Modern Calligraphy Course in Hinckley

£135 (plus £20 for equipment bundle)

Calligraphy workshop -your choice!

In this 10-week course you will try your hand at four different scripts in the beginning weeks and then choose your favourite to learn and perfect in the remaining weeks.

If you are left handed not a problem for the fine point (Copperplate and modern) But I will need to know for Gothic and Italic an you will need lefthanded nibs.

All materials will be provided to use while we ‘test’ our scripts of choice.

Bundles will be available to purchase with the correct equipment needed for your chosen script.
If anyone has already completed my other calligraphy courses and would like to continue with their ‘Modern Calligraphy’ please book back on this course and I can work with you on improving your style, technique and then working on individual projects.

Each session includes dedicated practice time to build muscle memory and refine the skills you’ve learned. By the end of the course, you’ll have the confidence and technique to continue exploring the art of calligraphy.

Equipment Bundle

Jane has put together an equipment bundle so that you are all starting off on the right foot with everything you need for the 10-week course. It includes a nib, ink, metallic paint (Coliro), penholder, laminated practice lines, example sheets, some layout practice paper and a paintbrush – all for £20.
Upgrade for another £10 to get the modern calligraphy booklet and full layout practice pad ( Jane’s Modern Calligraphy Starter Pack).
